This project was on show for two days on the square of the Halles de l’Ille. At first glance, it resembles a giant mountain of cardboard rubbish but conceals a modest entranceway on one side. Visitors must therefore get on all fours to enter within and, once passed the tunnel, enters into a dome-like cavity daubed in white. The entire cavity is illuminated by five small and cold neon lights which accentuate the geometry and artificial atmosphere of the dome. They are suspended in such a way as to destroy all shadows, in stark contrast to the natural light outside. The space exudes a reassuring structural energy which exists somewhere between sacred and science-fiction.
